Erin Edmands
CNS Candidate
Before pursuing a career in nutrition, I worked in healthcare as a nurse. I loved caring for people; however, my perspective on healthcare shifted when I faced my own personal health issues.
After developing an autoimmune condition, I turned to the medical system expecting answers. Instead, I found only temporary relief that addressed the symptoms, not the underlying cause. This left me trapped in a cycle of frequent medical visits and medications, without clear answers about why this was happening.
Frustrated, I began searching for answers on my own, which brought me to an anti-inflammatory diet and functional/integrative nutrition. I studied everything I could find to understand why my body was reacting the way it was. I didn't want to just mask the symptoms anymore.
By addressing the root causes through targeted nutrition and lifestyle modifications, I was finally able to give my body the support it needed to recover.
My journey didn't stop with my own healing. As a mother raising four children, health and wellness became a foundational part of our daily life. I saw firsthand how nourishing the body, along with natural approaches to wellness, could support a child’s growth, development, vitality, and immune function.
